Open the mountain from one screen.

DAY/OS runs lifts, grooming, the fleet, tickets, waivers, rentals, lessons, patrol and staff for independent ski areas. Turn on the parts you run and leave the rest off.

The demo gives you your own made-up mountain in about 20 seconds, with every app switched on. The trial is your real mountain, free for 14 days. No card for either.

  • Nothing to install
  • Phones, tablets and counter computers
  • No contract

Sample data for illustration. Your board shows your lifts, your trails and your crew.
Illustration of a small ski area at dawn: a freshly groomed trail, a double chairlift and spruce forest

Your morning shouldn't need five logins and a clipboard.

When the lift check is on paper, grooming is on a whiteboard and lessons live in someone's inbox, the answer to every question is in the place you didn't look. DAY/OS keeps the whole day in one place, so the person who needs to know, knows.

  • Lift checks on paper
  • Grooming on a whiteboard
  • Lessons by email and phone tag
  • Patrol reports in a binder
  • Sweep sheets on a clipboard
  • Shifts in a spreadsheet
  • Waivers in a filing cabinet
  • Fleet service on a wall calendar

One day, start to finish.

This is what a day looks like when the tools agree with each other. Everything below is in DAY/OS today.

5:30 AMBefore the first chairIllustration of a snowcat grooming a trail at night

Know what's safe to open.

Plan the night's grooming, log snow and weather, walk each lift through its inspection checklist on a phone, and check every machine before it moves.

A lift that fails its inspection can't be set to open until a passing check is on file.
What it does
  • Groomer plans by trail and shift, with snowmaking runs and water used
  • Wind holds and downtime logged as they happen
  • Work orders and service plans by days, hours or miles
  • Scan the QR tag on a groomer or truck for its pre-shift check; a failed item opens a work order
  • The daily report fills itself from what you logged

Lift inspections and maintenance

7:30 AMPatrol opens the hill

Every run checked before it opens.

Patrollers sign in on duty from their phone or the patrol-room tablet. Each run is checked and opened, held or closed with a reason, and Mountain status changes as they go.

A run with no check today can only be opened by a sweep lead, with a reason that is kept.
What it does
  • On duty with station and radio number, for paid patrollers and volunteers alike
  • Opening checks: hazards marked, ropes and signs, padding
  • Lift evacuation plans, drills, and who on duty is ready for each lift
  • Avalanche paths, observations and control work, for mountains that need it
  • Volunteer days counted against your season minimum

Ski patrol software

Sell it, scan it, move on.

The counter sells tickets, passes and gift cards, and guests who bought online skip the line. The gate scans a code or taps an RFID card and stops a pass that was just used.

What it does
  • Day tickets, season passes and gift cards at one counter
  • An online shop where guests pick the day first, with daily limits
  • RFID cards loaded with a ticket or pass, and reloaded next season
  • Refunds need a reason, and the reason is kept
  • Scan history shows when and where a pass was used

Gear out, lessons running.

Guests signed their waiver at home. Rental contracts track every item out and back. Ski school fills its sessions without the phone tag.

What it does
  • Waivers signed on a phone or the counter tablet, with the signature and the exact wording kept
  • Rental contracts with sizing, binding records and barcoded gear, overdue items flagged
  • Lesson sessions with rosters, and packages that count down
  • Guests book and pay for lessons online, in English or Spanish
  • Instructors post their own open dates

1:15 PMWhen someone gets hurtIllustration of a patroller beside a rescue toboggan

One record from the first call.

Dispatch sends responders and their phones buzz. The case follows the guest from the hill to the hand-off, and the report writes most of itself.

A tourniquet's time shows on the bedside card and the hand-off sheet until it comes off.
What it does
  • Phone alerts for the call, with "On my way" to answer
  • Vitals, GCS, splint checks, oxygen and a cardiac arrest log, built for gloved hands
  • Medications only from your medical director's formulary, taken from stock by lot
  • Keeps working without signal, and sends everything in order when it returns
  • A one-page hand-off for EMS that prints, and refusal and hand-off signed on the phone
  • Lost-person searches with areas assigned and alerted

Patient care reports and dispatch

4:45 PMClosingIllustration of the lodge lit up at dusk

Sweep it, count it, go home.

Patrol sweeps each route and calls the mountain clear with the time. The drawer is counted against what the system expects. The next shift reads what this one wrote.

The mountain can't be called clear while a route is still open or someone found has no call.
What it does
  • Sweep routes assigned to whoever is on duty, stop by stop, with a late alert
  • A daily patrol log built from the day: weather, duty, calls, checks and the sweep
  • Till drawers that ask for a note when the count is off
  • Staff clock out at the employee-entrance tablet with a PIN or badge
  • Shift handoff notes for grooming, lifts and every department

Turn on what you run.

Every part of DAY/OS is its own app, and each mountain chooses which ones it gets. Today, Inbox, Customers and Waivers come with every mountain. Switch the apps below and watch the menu your crew would see.

See what each app does

Everyone sees their own screen.

People get a login with a role. A counter worker never wades through patrol cases, and a patroller never sees the till.

Counter

Sells tickets and passes, hands out rentals, books lessons.

Patrol

Duty, dispatch, cases, the sweep, and the training and gear they keep current, at the access level their director sets.

Instructors

Their lessons and rosters, and the days they're open to teach.

Staff

Their own shifts and clock-in, the team Inbox, and the machines and work orders they keep running.

Managers

The whole mountain: money, schedule, people, products, settings and billing.

Careful with guest and patient information.

You hold names, birthdays and injury details. DAY/OS is built to keep that to the people who need it.

Each mountain is walled off.

One mountain can't see another's data. Every release is tested by signing in as a second mountain and trying every page against the first one's records.

Access by role.

Patient details are limited to the patrol access levels you allow. Each document category lists which roles can see it and which can add to it.

Two-step sign-in, if you want it.

Require a code from an authenticator app for everyone at the mountain. Screens sign themselves out after 15 minutes of no activity.

Patient records that hold up.

Nothing in a care record is deleted: a mistake is marked entered in error. Each submitted report is kept exactly as it was, records requests release only the approved version, and a legal hold stops any change.

Your data leaves with you.

Customers, sales, payments, refunds and incident reports download as spreadsheets at any time.

Payments stay with Stripe.

Card and bank details for guests and for your subscription go straight to Stripe. DAY/OS never sees or stores the numbers.

How we protect your data

Questions mountain managers ask.

Do we have to replace everything on day one?

No. Start with the apps that hurt most, such as the lift checks or the ski school, and add others as you're ready. Each mountain chooses its own set, and an app you don't use stays out of the menu.

How does the free trial work?

Ask for a trial and we set up your mountain, usually within a business day. Everything is on for 14 days. Choose a plan and a way to pay any time before the trial ends; paying early does not shorten it.

How do we pay?

By card, by US bank account (ACH), or by invoice with 30 days to pay. Monthly or yearly, and yearly is 15% less. The owner changes the plan, the card or the bank account from the Billing page, and receipts are there too.

What if a payment fails?

Everything keeps working for 14 more days, with a note at the top of every page. After that DAY/OS becomes read only until it is paid: you can still see and export everything, and patrol, the time clock and the team Inbox keep working.

Can you bring over our customers and products?

Yes. We import your customer list and products, set up your staff, and train your crew before opening day.

What do we need to run it?

A web browser and an internet connection. Counter computers, phones and tablets all work, and there's nothing to install. If a patrol phone loses signal, bedside entries are kept on the phone and sent when the signal returns.

Can guests sign the waiver before they arrive?

Yes. They sign on their phone at home, on a counter tablet, or from an emailed link. The drawn signature, the time and the exact wording are kept, a parent signs for children, and Sell, Rentals, Ski school and the Gate all show whether a guest has a waiver that counts.

We are a volunteer patrol. Does that work?

Yes. Volunteers sign in on duty without a time clock, their days count toward your season minimum, and they can ask for cover when they can't make a shift. Your patrol director sets what each access level can do.

How do guests pay online?

The online shop, lesson payments and patrol giving run through Stripe. Card processing fees pass through at Stripe's cost.

Who owns our data?

You do. Customers, sales, payments, refunds and incident reports download as spreadsheets whenever you want them, and turning an app off never deletes its records.
